PACKARD BELL INTRODUCES MAESTRO 220 2S, A NEW LCD DISPLAY WITH 2-MILLISECOND RESPONSE TIME AND SUPERIOR IMAGE QUALITY
Packard Bell, one of the leading consumer electronics brands and the number three vendor of consumer desktops in Europe, today introduced its new 22-inch Packard Bell Maestro 220 2s LCD display. The popularity of LCD displays continues to grow as consumers adopt the viewing comfort of large format, widescreen displays. The 22-to-24-inch LCD market segment, for example, has grown from 2% of LCD sales in November 2006 to 25% at the end of 2007 . Analysts expect 2008 to be the year of the 22-inch LCD display, as it becomes the new standard for mainstream buyers. The new Packard Bell Maestro 220 2s raises the bar in this segment by making the response time and image quality that was used reserved for media professionals available to consumers.

As an Official Partner and Supplier of the last ESWC Grand Final, Packard Bell renews its involvement with European gamers by signing a new agreement with the company Games-Services. According to this partnership, Packard Bell will support the most important E-Sports events of the ESWC 2008 season as well as the ESWC Masters of Paris during the “Mondial du Gaming”, that will be staged at the Palais Omnisports of Paris Bercy, one of the main indoor sporting arenas of Europe, from 4th to 6th July, 2008.
